Guidelines for oral and poster presentations
Oral presentations
- Duration: 15 minutes for presentation + 4 minutes for discussion.
- Connecting your own laptop is not allowed.
- Operating system: Windows 11.
- File format: Microsoft PowerPoint or PDF
- Slide dimension: 16:9 format is preferable.
- File name: name your file with the firstname and surname of the presenter separated by an underscore. For example: donald_duck.ppt
You have three options to upload your presentation:
- by email, before August 28, to slide.transfer@eurokarst.org using your preferred file transfer tool if the file size is too large for a regular email
- at the registration desk of the conference with a USB stick, at least 15 minutes before the start of your session
- in one of the 3 conference rooms with a USB stick, at least 15 minutes before the start of your session
Poster and poster blitz
The posters will be on display for the complete duration of the conference. Dedicated poster sessions are organized on Monday and Tuesday afternoons. But it will also be possible to discuss around the posters during the lunch and coffee breaks.
All posters have an A0 space oriented vertically.
Poster blitz:
The poster blitz session is an oral session before the poster session. During the poster blitz every presenter can explain rapidly (1 min with 1 slide) what the poster is about and invite the other attendees to come and discuss the poster that is displayed in the poster session.
A poster blitz is brief teaser of the poster content. Please do not present the whole poster during the poster blitz, this is not the aim of this session. The full posters are presented just after the blitz during the poster session.
The slide for the poster blitz (PowerPoint or PDF) must be sent by email before August 28 to slide.transfer@eurokarst.org to be included in the poster blitz. The filename should be the firstname and surname of the presenter separated by an underscore and followed by the keyword “_posterblitz”. For example: donald_duck_posterblitz.ppt.
